Briard top ten

      I thought I would do a take-off on David Letterman, and come up with a "Top Ten" list of traits/idosyncracies that I like the most about our Briard Schepp.

      1. I love Schepp's joyful and instantaneous enthusiasm. All he needs to hear is "Schepp, do you wanna....." and boom-o, he's up and READY!
      2. Watching the DWF (Dog Wrestling Federation) that he has established with our golden retriever, Mattie.
      3. Those cute little "gruffy" noises that he makes.
      4. The way he shnuffles my hair and face (and other bddy parts that I probably shouldn't mention on a public maillist.)
      5. His big, hairy high-fives!
      6. His sense of humor (the clown!)
      7. How he sleeps with "one eye open" so he's always ready for whatever situation may come along.
      8. The way he rears up on his hind legs like a hairy little horse when he thinks something good is about to happen (like when I pick up his food dish, or he's waiting at the back door to go out.)
      9. The way he always play bows whenever he wants attention (or food.)
      10. The fact that he's tall enough to check out what I'm doing on the kitchen counters ("Hi Mom....need any help, got any extras?")
